what my goals are
what i really want
what makes me smile
like the person who will be in my bed when i wake up.
staring at that person's almost innocent face.
taking snapshots in my head.
i am young, and i want to have fun
i do not want to be careless though, i rather be carefree
i don't eat too much rice
half a cup a day, or sometimes none at all
i am not getting fat, but i got tired of rice
i miss kiko's mom's seafood paella!
i stopped exercising a couple of months ago
i need to go back to the gym
but i hate the people at the gym
all muscles but no brains at all
elaine called me yesterday, she said it was nothing
she called me agan this afternoon, she said nevermind
what the hell's matter with you elaine?
i am a workaholic
i work at home and don't file my overtime
i am doing great in my job
i performed extremely well last year
but i guess that's not enough
i watch too much DVDs
i love indie and non-Hollywood films
i love Y Tu Mama Tambien, Amelie and Memento
years from now, i'll produce and film my own indie/docu film
i have wrote script already
all i need is a good camera
i am a frustrated artist
i was supposed to take fine arts in college
but i took an engineering course
there's no money in art..
unless you're already rich and can open your own gallery
and i'm not rich
i'll get rich... in the next 10 years
i want to open an acoustic-coffee-bar+book-shop
and it will have an open mic night
and poetry reading night
like an artist club or something
oh my, i love to dream big things
i just hope that one by one
i can do them
or experience them
now i'm sleepy
and i have tons of work to do tomorrow
i need to get a "life"
or i'll die working...
Guess who the Butt Guy is? No, it's not me. But it kinda looks like mine...
Butt Guy (pic on the left) would play an "infuriatingly fit" plastic surgeon who has a homoerotic encounter with main character Christian Troy (Julian McMahon).
A couple of pics were leaked all over the net, I guess some publicity stunt for the show.
Nip/Tuck Season 4 will air on Septmber 5!
Speaking of Justine Hartley, he was supposed to play the role of Aquaman, a new series produced by the Smallville folks. Unfortunately, the show got cancelled but there are talks of having the show on air next year.
Hmmm... I dunno. I think that Justin might have a split-comic-hero-personality between Green Arrow and Aquaman. I think Aquaman is way cooler since his power includes talking to the fishies.
[More pics of Aquaman]

Book/s that needs to be read: Naked by David Sedaris
Days before my B-day: 29 days
Oh my, i'll be 24 on Sept 24! Yay! I dunno if I'll have a party or just do something. Birthdays are over-rated. Ha! Last time my birthday was celebrated was 2 years ago. I wasn't planning to celebrate but after our pic-road-trip in Tagaytay, we decided to eat pasta, drink alcohol, and destroy Raf's XBOX.
Any thoughts on how should i celebrate my 24th birthday on September 24?

Thursday, August 24, 2006
I'm not getting any younger. I'll be 24 in September 24 and I'm still in search of the real DJ. I want to do a lot of things. Travel. Party. Have fun. My life is on standby. I've been dealing with personal and professional problems each and every day. It's time to stop and just have that "feel-good" attitude. I'm not saying that I'll stop bitchin' people but I just have to do the things that i really really want.
now... here are some of my confessions...
i am laidback but i make things happen.
i overanalyze things. i need to know the risks before i do something.
and that's my biggest problem. i'm sometimes scared of taking risks.
i'm afraid of getting hurt. being told what to do. be stereotyped.
i hate stereotypes, and people who stereotype other people. that's wrong.
but i'm guilty of stereotyping other people. due to peer pressure.
i try not to eat too much carbs. i'm getting fat.
i make sure that i look good everyday. i spend 10 minutes fixing my hair.
and another 10 minutes trying to pick which clothes to wear.
but i'll end up wearing the same shirts.
i crave acceptance. the limelight. i am an over-achiever.
i love watching movies by myself.
call it sad, but i hate it when people disturb you when you're watching a movie.
i write too much. but i don't talk as much. i rather listen than argue.
i'm single. since birth. and nothing's wrong with that.
i'm still a virgin. and nothing's wrong with that.
i want to get laid. but not with some stranger. not that i want it to be special.
i masturbate. i watch porn and masturbate. i listen to trance while i masturbate.
i don't do drugs. well, once. marijuana. about 5 years ago.
i don't like beer. i love margarita.
i need to smoke when i wake up. and before i sleep.
i have temporary insomnia during weekdays.
i love reading books. but once i get bored with the story, i'll just watch the movie version.
i don't have any music preferences. anything goes.
i think i'll be great in politics.
i love grey's anatomy. i think i'm like george o'malley.
i hate people who doesn't use their common sense.
there's a thin line between ignorance and stupidity.
i rather be ignorant than stupid.
my grammar sucks. but i'm trying to do something about it.
i'm a great liar. i learned the art of lying from my acting classes.
that's why i know actors are the biggest liars, not lawyers.
there you go... more to come in the next couple of weeks.

Web Logs are such a biggie nowadays. Everyone blogs. Fictional, non-fictional, whatev. The blog community is growing exponentially. It’s the new YahooGroups. Personal lives available at your disposal. You don’t shit on them, you just have to read and give your pseudo anonymous comments. You post nekkid pictures (LOL), mp3s, videos, or how you stalk people. You tell exaggerated stories, fictional tales, and how you hate your life. Haha!
How about a Blog Party dry run here in Pinas?
1. Meet either in Greenbelt, Eastwood or somewhere in Baywalk. Have dinner and a couple of drinks
2. After dinner and drinks, have more drinks. Hahaha… Or maybe get some coffee.
As simple as that. Again, just a dry run. Someplace where bloggers can meet up and just talk. It'll be nice to put a real live face instead of looking at your blog pics.
I haven’t thought of a time and date yet. I'm not sure who wants to be part of this dry run. Maybe next month. When we have less rain.
So anyone interested?
Go Toby! Go Toby! Hey hey hey!
Toby Rand gets to sing with Supernova!
And we say buh-bye to Patrice!
Anyhoot, here are the mp3s from tonight's show.
Magni - Fire
Patrice Pike - Middle Of The Road
Toby - Plush (Stone Temple Pilots)
Supernova & Toby - Be Yourself and 5 Other Cliches
I'm fucked up! Major.
Frustration is sinking in. I didn't accepted this new role. It was given to me due to business continuity. My boss told me that this will just be temporary but it seems that this will be my new job. Not that I don't want to do this, but again, less than 2 weeks of training?
It just came clear to me that I don't want to be an IE. Let me rephrase that... I don't want to be an IE doing an IE job. I want to move to marketing and sales and advertising.
I really want to leave but I ain't got a new place to go to. I hope that in weeks, I'll get a call back for that ASE spot. I need an immediate career shift. Within the year. Hopefully sometime September or October.
Oh God, I need you to open that window for me. Please...

I just can't wait til Jay lends me a copy of the Prisonbreak next week. I read spoilers and episode recaps and oh my... the suspense is killing me! Someone already died in the first episode. A bullet in the head.
The gang is back after "escaping" Fox River. Finally, we'll see them with decent clothing.
You can watch the first episode online. Just go to Fox.com or click the links below. Too bad though, you should have a US IP Address. Thank god that our office internet IP address is US based. Yay! I'll just watch it around lunch time tomorrow.
This is really a good move from Fox network. Most shows won't be back until late September. Aside from Prisonbreak, Vanished also premiered last August 21. I think Vanished is nice. It stars Gale Harold (Bryan of QAF) as Agent Graham Kelton, Rebecca Gayheart as Judy Nash, and Joanne Kelly as Sara Collins, etc.
Viewers will journey inside a sensational, thrilling national soap opera as collaborating FBI Agents Kyle Tyner, Graham Kelton, Lin Mei and Daniel Lucas investigate and uncover enigmatic clues that suggest Sara’s disappearance may be part of a large, sinister conspiracy. Meanwhile, ambitious reporter Judy Nash is also pursuing leads to deliver breaking news as this career-defining story develops.
Oh my... this one's really interesting.
Anyway, i found this blog who posts pics and a whole lot more about Prisonbreak and Wentworth Miller. Just go to http://infamousbeauty.blogspot.com/.
As for the Vid Links (streaming vids, requires US IP address):
Prisonbreak 201 - Manhunt
Vanished - Pilot Episode

Pre-Show comments: Ryan and Patrice, lots of luck with your originals. I hope that Magni won't murder Nirvana's song. I lurve Storm and Dilana's chosen pieces. Good luck Toby. As for Lukas... enough with the make-up man and focus on your singing.
Here are the original tracks...

I guess I’m over-reacting. I’m not really tired. I’m just bored. Bored again. In a different level. I’m bored because I’m not having fun anymore. Advil cannot help save me in this form of boredom. So… hehehe… I asked my “stylist” to dye my hair. Harhar. Way back in college, I was obsessed with having my hair dyed. I was Kool-Aid’s number one customer. Thanks to MTV, I learned how to dye my hair using strawberry kool-aid. But I never did figured out how to really dye my hair with Kool-Aid. Nilalanggam lang ako. My hair is really sweet and tasty. So I decided to buy some hair coloring products and dyed my hair myself. Disaster I tell you. I tried it all – Red, Blue, Green, Purple, Bleach. Well, not everything at the same time. Almost every 2 months in my 2nd year at College. Back then, I was given the nick of Kool-Aid kid (in our org sig-sheet). Well, Tanj gave me a different nickname – Carpet. People asked me why I dyed my hair. I told them that because it’s fun and I really just want to. Maybe I crave attention, maybe I’m giving a statement. Or maybe, isa lang akong punkista!
So last Saturday, I want to Danny’s to have my haircut. He gave me all kinds of haircut since 1998. The Navy hair cut, the HS student cut, the totoy cut, baby Mohawk, spiked style, etc. He told me that he’ll just cut my hair "short-haired-korean style." Wahahaha. Actually, mukha lang syang wash and wear styled hair. At least it will just take me a couple of minutes to put wax/gel on my hair. Then I asked him if he could dye it. He asked kung highlights lang. Sabi ko, gusto ko lahat. I told him na dark brown and he said that may idea sya kung anong kulay. So, inoffer ko na lang yung buhok ko sa kanya. In less than 30 minutes, I saw my newly dyed hair. Anong kulay? “Golden Brown.” Ano ako, deep fried chicken? Wahahaha. Well, I really liked my new hair.
Now now… I know… bukas, people at work will ask me kung bakit ako nagpakulay, or kung anong ginawa ko sa buhok ko in negative tones. Hmmm… paki mo. Okay, milder approach… because this is me having fun.
THEM: Anong ginawa mo sa buhok mo? Nagpakulay ka?
ME: Hindi, nabasa, kumupas.
THEM: Anong nangyari sa buhok mo?
ME: Eto? Stress yan. Pag naaasar ako magkulay green yan.
THEM: Bakit ka nagpakulay ng buhok?
ME: Bakit ganyan ang suot mo?
My point…. Walang paki-elaman... Enough about my hair. Hmmm…
Last Friday, we had our August Happy Hour/Teambuilding activity at Alabang Racquet Club called Work Cup 2006. It was nice. Yun lang. Anyway, I saw Joel (Bo-ot). College org mate. He gained weight, sobra. But he played badminton really well. Back to Work Cup… after playing badminton, we went to Manong’s to grab some late dinner. C called me and asked me if I’m going to G’s party. I said no, kasi I was not invited. Well, our conversation lead to some catching up, what happened to E, and kung may opening sa kanila. Dinner was okay. Pictures to be posted soon.
Ano pa ba kwento ko sa inyo? Okay... eto na lang. Di ako “feeling” or “assuming” pero may text-stalker ako. Or anonymous text mate. Whatev. Mula 6am hanggang midnight walang tigil kaka-text. It started with forwarded SMS which I found harmless. Baka old HS/College classmate. Then, last week, I received weird messages. Kumain na daw siya. Kumain na ba daw ako. Uwi na daw siya. Etc. I have this feeling na taga-office yung nagtetext sa akin. (1) ang aga magtext, mga 6am. Start ng office naming is 7am. (2) Nagtext sya na uwian na. nagtext siya around 4pm. Hanggang 4pm lang regular office hours sa amin. Scary. Well, bahala sya. Basta wag lang one day eh ma-kidnap ako at ma-rape. Bata pa ako.
Hay, dami ko kwento. Miss ko na ‘to. Blog therapy. Siguro next week may maa-asar na naman sa post kong ‘to. Naku. Bahala ka.
Wish me lots of luck this week. First RRP (resource requirement planning… san ka pa!?) analysis. I’m finalizing my monthly report. Oh-Em-Gee (hahahaha), dami kong ginawa pala nitong August. Kaya siguro masyado akong pagod. Quantifying my projects sa office, I guessed I already saved 1 million dollars again and all I get is a tap from the back (tangina magkaka-scholio ako!).
Fearless forecast. 6 na nagresign this year. May 3 pa siguro. Clue? Wag na. Basta mag-observe lang kayo dyan.
Saturday, August 19, 2006
sige, nagpapahinga lang ako saglit so i decided na magblo0g lang saglit. i need this blog-therapy back.

Ilang taon ka na ba nagtratrabaho Jackson? More than 10 years right? So what's with the stupid questions?
You want at the tools to hit 70% AU. Well... nakita mo na ba yung buildplan natin? Basic algebra lang sir. If you want a 70% AU, output mo per week should be 220++. If you want 4 tools to hit 70% TU, then 220++ multiplied by 4 = 880++. Pag 7 tools, multiply it by 7.
Tapos check natin yung buildplan sir. Yung buildplan mo for the past few weeks eh below 880++. Way below EC. Check natin, ilan lang ba CC natin. Hindi kaya sir.
I'm not raising the targets because of baseless assumptions and calculations. galing po sa engineer ninyo yan. Galin sa time study ko. Galing din sa time studies ng ibang factories. Sa engineers ng ibang factories. Tapos ano ba ulit question mo? Bakit ko ini-increase?
Here's just one of my many problems with the people I work with. TAKOT! At some point, ayaw mag-accept ng accountability. Most of the time, walang discipline. Ayaw mag take ng risk. Mga Mam at Sir, na check niyo ba yung nasa ID natin. Yung core values. Kelan ninyo last na-practice. Tapos are you micro-maniging your people? Why not let your engineers decide for themselves. Kita mo naman na di ko na copied yung supervisor ko sa mga emails and analysis ko kasi I know that I'm correct. Another thing, actually two things. Office politics and bureucracy. So ilang buwan pa ba hihintayin ko para i-approve ninyo yang model. May timeline pa nga di ba. Ni-request pa ng engineer mo na sa Q4'06 na i-comprehend yung new numbers. May 7 weeks pa kayo. Eh in reality yan na talaga yung theoretical metrics.
So pano ko sasagutin tong email (na i-copy mo pa talaga yung supervisor ko and yung manager namin.. sana you copied everyone from my department).
Option A: Reply with graphs, tables, projections, statistical graphs, historical data, buildplan, EC, CC, lahat!
Option B: Wag mag reply.
Option C: Mag-reply ng NOTED!
Option D: Mag-explain lang ng konti...
Hmmm.. Option A. Sir Michael Jackson. I hope to educate you with the IE capacity calculations.
Wait, teka... Ilang taon ka na ba ulit nagtratrabaho?

Welcome to the planet
Welcome to existence
Everybody's watching you now
Everybody waits for you now
What happens next
I dare you to move
I dare you to move
I dare you to lift yourself up off the floor
I dare you to move
I dare you to move
Like today never happened
Today never happened before
Welcome to the fallout
Welcome to resistence
The tension is here
Between who you are and you could be
Between how it is and how it should be
Maybe redemption has stories to tell
Maybe forgiveness is right where you fell
Where can you run to escape from yourself?
Where you gonna go?
Where you gonna go?
Salvation is here

I logged just a minute ago to check my office emails. Oh my, naiirita ako...
1. Do not write emails using pink fonts. You can use them if you plan to highlight key messages.
2. Don't ask me stupid questions. Di ko yan product. Product ninyo yan.
3. Don't ask me questions that you yourself can only answer. Jedi Mind tricks doesn't work.
4. It's okay to recall an email once. Okay, twice. But not 5 times!
Blah, blah, blah. I'm not planning to answer any emails. I'll get back to it tomorrow.
Anyhoot, I met Elaine this afternoon. She's really pretty. My type.
Do you have any girlfriends?
Girlfriends? With S?
Okay, let's keep it singular. Girlfriend.
Past girlfriends or girlfriend.
Harmless flirts and flings.
Do you plan to get married?
Oh. Yeah. Someday.
When I'm financially stable.
Good for you.
Maybe 10 years from now.
Okay. Dapat pala sinagot ko siya ng, "Gusto mo mag-apply?" LOL.
After watching 100s of DVDs (okay, just around 24hours worth of DVDs over the weekend til monday) I decided to have a DVD detox. I looked at my pile of unread books gathering dust and cobwebs. I need to read them. Hopefully, I'll finish them all before I get married.
1. The Curious Incident of the Dog by Mark Haddon
2. A Million Little Pieces by James Frey
3. Naked by David Sedaris
4. Unbearable Lightness of Being by Milan Kundera
So... i have to end this post. I need to start reading my books.
And to Elaine, I'll accept your application immediately. No worries.

Bye folks... need to get plenty of rest.
I was feeling kinda sick since last Wednesday but i still went to work until Friday becasue of my training. Well, my training was cancelled last Thursday and Friday. Oh well...
I was unable to go to Jeck's birthday party last Friday. Another event scrubbed off from my social calendar.
Since yesterday, I was stuck in my room watching DVDs. Watched Bring It on 3 (kinda nice, Beyonce's Lil sis is hawt!), My Super Ex Girlfriend (G-Girl? LOL), Nip/Tuck Season 1 (Tell me what you don't like about yourself?) and 24 Season 5 (4 hrs to go and I'm done with Season 5).
I was feeling better last Saturday night so I checked my social network and asked if they want to watch Click. Oh my... naiyak ako sa ending. I thought that "Land Before Time" and "Tuesday's with Morrie" were the only films that could make me cry. Haaaaaay.... Click is a must watch movie for workaholics. Moral Lesson: you cannot fast forward your life, you have to deal with everything that comes up. And you have to prioritize your family, yourself, then your job. Which I think I should do immediately.
Speaking of jobs... Just heard that Twater resigned last week. The attrition rate just kept on increasing. Just this year, 5 already resigned (Bacolod Princess, Pug, T, Pancho and Twater) and we only had 1 new hire (Inay Minerva). I told Mickey that there will be 3 more...
As for me, still looking for something BETTER.
For now... I decided not to go to work tomorrow. Still sick and I don't like it.

After the day 1 training, I realized that I'll be doing more than half the analysis 3 weeks from now by myself. She will leave on a Tuesday, the analysis will be on a Wednesday, the report out on a Thursday. Oh my...
I asked a good friend for an indirect advice. I was somewhat overwhelmed when Pancho told me that I'll take over Tin's role in the next 3 weeks. The training should be around 2 months yet I have to be on board ASAP. And I still have to do my current role as operations IE. I really don't see any support from ET.
After reading my friend's advice, i have to admit that I'm just freaking out. I know that I've been blogging a lot about my boredom and the plan to escape the Hello Kitty factory. That this will be my last year in this company. But I cannot move out until I secure a new job. I’m also not the type of person who will just drop everything and leave. So I’m still making the best out of it. Therefore, the show must go on and I have to perform more than what was expected from me.
The “I’m bored to death” is just a phase. Sta Rosa was pushed out, etc. As for my Operations IE role, I think I was more frustrated than bored. Same people, same issues, same non-value-add requests. Which reminds me, I hate Avril Lavigne. She's from the other factory. She's asking for a training. She lacks common sense. Wait. I'll write a separate post for Miss Avril. I'll call it, Avril and the missing common sense.
Yeah, maybe all I need is support (from Boss Chicks, Pancho, and Shingles). I know I can do it, but what I don’t know is if I can do a better job. As much as possible, I want to do more than whatever is expected from me.
Pancho was the only one who approached me and asked me if I'm okay with the job. AS if I have a choice right? ET is doing.. well... something. No words of encouragement from Shingles, Curly, nor Boss Chicks. Is it because they assume that when I told Pancho that I will try to do it, that it means that it's okay? Pancho talked to ET and told him na that I need to work on my training. ET then talked to Dengue Boy 2 Quizon that he needs to cover some of my activities, but why haven't ET talked to me yet. Maybe Shingles will just be there in my first presentation, maybe Sbarro already talked to Curly about the Sta Rosa push out.
I just don’t get. Do managers always assume that everything is okay? No words of encouragement? Or is it because of my past performance review that I did really well? That they assume that I can do it because of my "skill set."
Yeah, I'm such a cry baby. I need (constant) reassurance and words of encouragement. Right now, I'd like to thank some of my officemates for giving me advices about my new role. To Young Curly Girl, to Sbarro, to Tin.
Oh well, wish me luck. 11 working days before my first RRP presentation.
And to Avril, do you need a "Common Sense for Dummies" book?
I heart the songs except song number 2.

As if i have a choice! In the 3rd week, I'll run half the RRP analysis with Tin. 3 days in that 3rd week. In day 4, I'll do the presentation by myself.
The pressure... is killing my brain cells.
From getting bored, to getting exhausted, then frustrated. Now, they want me dead.
They said that I can do it. In my first job, I only had 2 weeks (actually, less than 2 weeks) of training to get on board. This is a big challenge. As Fernando said, the new job is being served in a silver platter.
Again, I'm over-analyzing. I know I can do it. I just hope that people (my current boss, my new boss(es), and our manager) would back me up. Only Pancho talked to me about the new job. As for Mr. EK and Mr. Shingles, they never even asked me if I need some help.
I know that I have to do this. I just don't want people to expect to much. Again, I'll have less than 3 weeks of training.
To date, all i can do is to smile...
...and drink my daily dose of Advil.

1. If your on the dance floor, dance. Bopping from one foot the other does not count.
2. If you smile at me I will smile back, I'm friendly, and a flirt. That's all…
3. If the dancefloor is not full and the first dance move you make involves stepping on my foot then you are too close.
4. Just because you repeatedly bump into me in drug induced dance ‘style’ does not mean I’m trying to pick you up.
5. Don’t just stand there and stare, I can feel you looking and its really off putting. Don't try to hypnotise me... it won't work.
6. If you’re hot, try and break away from your group on the dancefloor so I can try pick you up... Flirt with you in the dancefloor. It’s scary trying to approach a group.
7. If you take anything onto the dancefloor other then your ‘groove’ you will loose all respect. Don'y bring your lit up cigarette, beer bottle, glass alcohol, or your purse. I don't want alcohol spilled in my shirt nor cigarette burns...
8. Smile. Its not hard, its even meant to be fun…but remember rule number 2.
9. If the beat drops on a track and I'm going off and getting down with the tune…that is not the right time to come over put your hand on my shoulder to introduce yourself and deliver a bad pickup line. Your just ruining the best part of the song.
10. If you ask me a question I will answer it nicely and in a friendly way, because I am friendly and nice. Not because I want to sleep with you nor dance with you.
So, are you ready to dance with me?

For my Communications 3 speech back in college, around 5 years ago, I stood in front of the class and discussed the art of flirting. After weeks of extensive research, I came up with a 10 minute speech. Last night, I saw my my notes on that speech. Just want to share it to everyone, I have some nice tips.
Flirting is an art form which uses both verbal and nonverbal communication to express your interest in someone. I have to admit that I am terrible at it. I am better at flirting online, in Yahoo Messenger and mIRC.
Flirting is no rocket-science. Anyone can learn how to flirt. The key is to be yourself and not be something you’re not. Keep secrets, keep a mysterious outlook, but don't lie.
If you play your cards right, flirting can open doors to getting to know lots of new people and can be a great way to start conversations with people you are trying to pick up.
Flirting can actually be a form of social netwroking...
...or is it sexual networking?
Smile. In minutes start a friendly conversation. Don;t start with lame quetions like "How's the weather?" or something like that. Talk in any situation and again, remember to smile. That will be your opening statement.
Flirting is not cruising though. Cruising is more about getting laid. Flirting is more about breaking the ice and being able to meet someone for dating, companionship and again, social networking. It is not about playing games.
So what makes a great flirt?
Let me tell you how...
(1) Eye Contact: Does the peson looking you in the eyes and staring at you while you smile? Winking? Are you? Direct eye contact. Don't stare too much though. You'll burn holes.
(2) Facial expressions: Lots of smiling, half opened mouth, teeth flashing.
(3) Smiling is the most effective tool in flirting. Experts say that smiling is the most important thing you can do to make yourself more approachable and attractive. Your smile is your best accessory. So don't pucker up.
(4) It is all about your LIPS: Use those lips to get attention. Lick them, pucker your lips and touch them with your tongue. But not every 10 seconds. Do it every 5 minutes. Lick not bite.
(5) Posture: Thrust your chest and mirror the other person’s posture. Make sure you have an approachable posture. Don't slouch. Stand with your feet 6-10 inches apart with your toes pointing outward.
(6) Compliment. Do not use those sleazy lines but make genuine small talk. Keep it creative and humorous.
(7) Be yourself and feel confident and relaxed
(8) Keep an even flow in the conversation. Do not dominate but make it a two way conversation.
(9) Do not worry about getting a phone number, a date or sex. Enjoy flirting for what it is…getting to know others and making a connection.
So... are you ready (to flirt with me)?

Imogen Heap - Hide and Seek (Strings Version)
Anyway, i just proved my theory while our QuaMan instructor was giving out our test scores. "Getting good grades does not reflect your true capabilty." I'm not saying that high scores means poor performance and vice versa. Exam scores (or GPAs, GWAs, etc) is just one way of measuring an individuals capability. What matters most is his or her actual performance. Hands-on. Wahahaha!

3 weeks to understand 2 completely new systems. 3 weeks of overtime at the office (since Tin needs to work in the morning and train me in the afternoon). I’m chained to my desk in 3 weeks. In the third week, I’ll be doing half the analysis (I guess). Our group “motto” is “Endless opportunities and fun!” Where’s the fun in that?
A couple of my office mates told me that this is great exposure since I’ll be presenting in front of department managers and MrT, our new factory manager. Good experience since I would need this when I plan to be the next EIT IE. They told me that I can do it since I’ve been working for more than 2 years and that I was able to get on board with my first role in a month. Exposure = check. Experience = Check. Doability = check. Sleep = N/A. There goes my so-called social life.
“As if I have a choice.” That phrase kept on running in my head in different tones and voices. Come to think of it, I do have a say on these. So here’s the gameplan.
1 – Drop all of my ongoing projects/activities. Well, maybe I’ll keep 2 big projects. I’m not the type of person who will let others to finish a job. Hard part about this is that I’m sure my customers won’t be happy about it. Well, who said that our workplace is a freaking McDonald’s party place? I’m in Alcatraz less that smelly urinals.
2 – Tell my boss that there will be repercussions once I get on board with my additional role. Need to finalize if there will be a replacement for the job or for the job that I’ll be temporarily leaving. If no replacements will be hired, I will drop the new role and get back to what was planned.
3 – Get full back-up support during my first presentation. They don’t want me freaking out in front of the managers. I can be such a mean bastard. They might need to put me in a straight jacket.
4 – Overtime pay is a must. I never file my overtime pay when I have to work at home. Now, every minute counts.
5 - If there are no replacements and if I need to work twice as much, I’ll ask for a salary increase. Though the probability of this happening is close to 0, it’s a deal or no deal if I need to work twice as much.
I’m still keeping a 50% positive outlook with my job. The other 50%? A well deserved spa after my first report out.
Well, at least, twice a month, I have reasons why I need to wear my formal business clothes. I’m already thinking what to wear in my first report out. Should I wear my pink signature polo or my black “call-boy” striped polo? Oh, and I need new shoes. Prada? Hmmm… I’m the devil bastard who wears black leather Prada shoes? Nice.
Or maybe I’ll wear my “buck fuddy” shirt.

I really don’t like working for company A any longer. The only thing that keeps me here is that I need to have a stable income. A job that pays the rent, so to speak. When a new company opens its doors for me, I’ll walk out of company A immediately.
I was absent this morning, an eye sore with mild flu. I’m also developing some allergic reactions with people at work.
Around 5 in the afternoon, I learned that one of our officemates resigned. Bad news for me… There are two options: (1) Van will take GP while I take RRP; (2) Van will take RRP while I take GP. Both options that I don’t want to accept. Well, I really don’t have any choice.
Yeah, I know, people will say that it will be good for my career. But hell, I need my social life back. Now!
I’m counting the days, 152 days to be exact. Days until 2007. The clock is ticking, I need to escape. Someone beat me already, and I know some people are also running the race (out of company A). I’ll take 2nd or 3rd place. I’ll finish this race before this year ends.
To my officemate who just resigned. Good luck! You made the right the decision.
2006 IE department population (Jan): 26 IEs (including non-exempts; excluding Interns)
Projected Attrition Rate (corporate assumption): 10%
Attrition Rate (incl. new hire Inay Minerva & 2 future resigned employees): 15.38% to date
Expect the percentage to go up to 26% by the end of this year
Reason for high attrition:
Migration to another country
And the effects after the company’s so-called efficiency plans.
I need to barf every time I hear the word efficiency.
Someone please save me!

Two more months! Anyhoo, here's Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol. This new music video version looks like a summary of Grey's Anatomy season 1 and 2. Watch it! Some of the best scenes are there. I was really hoping to see the scene where Derek pulled out meredith's black panties. Darn it!
Snow Patrol - Chasing Cars MP3
Grey's Anatomy Season 3 Spoliers:
> A new, possibly recurring African-American couple is introduced. Joe shakes off a proposition. A patient is caught shoplifting. Another asserts her independence. One doctor's admiration of a gay patient seems out of place. We will see flashbacks featuring a five-year-old Meredith.
> Chris O'Donnell (McVet) is in talks to increase his Season 3 episode order from two to six.
> Katherine Heigl (Izzie) WILL BE on Grey's Anatomy next season.
> Sara Ramirez (Callie), who plays George's new squeeze said, "I'm a series regular next season!"
> Kate Walsh (Addison) and the returning Eric Dane (McSteamy) are now on board for all of Season 3. They were originally only committed through mid-season.
